Drift: Fly Fishing · Privacy policy
Privacy policy
Last updated November 2, 2026
The short version
- No account, no sign-up. Your game is saved on your phone.
- No ads and no tracking, and we never sell your information.
- Anonymous usage stats help us improve the game. They never include who you are, and you can turn them off in Settings.
- Your phone's motion is used to play and never leaves your phone.
- Purchases go through Apple; RevenueCat checks them for us using an anonymous ID.
What we collect
- Your game
- Your coins, flies and tackle, the fish you've caught, your patches, the places you've opened and your settings. This is stored on your phone only. We don't have a copy, so deleting the app deletes it.
- Motion
- Drift reads your phone's motion sensors while you're fishing, to cast, mend, set the hook and fight fish. It's used on the phone as you play and is never stored or sent anywhere.
- Purchases
- Coin packs and the Starter Pack are bought through Apple's App Store; Apple handles payment and we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases: the app sends RevenueCat an anonymous app user ID it makes up, along with your App Store purchase history for Drift, so RevenueCat can check each purchase is real. It isn't linked to your name or email. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- Anonymous usage stats
- To see which rivers, flies and features people use, the app sends us anonymous events as you play: things like starting a trip, landing or losing a fish (the species, its size, the place and the fly), earning a patch, opening the shop, buying flies or coins, and sharing a catch, along with the app and iOS versions. They're tied to a random ID the app makes up on your phone, not to your name, email, Apple ID or any ad identifier, and we don't record your IP address or location. We use Mixpanel to store and count them, and use them only to improve Drift. Turn them off anytime in Settings › Share anonymous usage, and the app stops sending them.
- Emails to us
- If you write to support from the app, we get what you send: your email address, your message, and the details the app fills in below it, which you can see and edit before sending: the app and iOS versions, a summary of your game (coins, fish caught, places opened, when you started) and your anonymous purchases ID, so we can look up a purchase that went wrong. We use it only to answer you, and delete it on request.
What we don't do
No advertising, no ad identifiers, no crash reporting, no location, no contacts, no photos, and no tracking across other apps or websites. Usage stats stay anonymous and are never used for ads or combined with data from other companies. We don't sell or share personal information.
Children
Drift isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. The game itself collects nothing about who you are.
Your choices
Settings › Reset progress erases your game on the phone; deleting the app removes everything it stored. To ask about or delete anything you've emailed us, or anything RevenueCat holds for your purchases, write to acrmsupport@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
